German Citizenshipby Descent

German citizenship by descent may be available to individuals with German ancestry, depending on their family line and historical records. For eligible applicants, this can lead not only to a German passport, but also to the wider benefits of EU citizenship.

Beginning with your last ancestor born in Germany, please describe your lineage in the following format. You may also include the following events: Births, marriages, divorces, emigrations, naturalizations, and adoptions.

Be sure to include if your ancestor was persecuted by the Nazis and left Germany between 1933 and 1945.

Navigating the process of reclaiming German citizenship can be very complex. I guide you step by step:

  • -Weekly progress calls (on demand)
  • -Full acquisition of all required documents from archives
  • -Communication with German authorities on your behalf
  • -Personal assistance with paperwork and submission

I offer bundle packages for multiple branches at once. The standard package is 1,500 EUR for four branches simultaneously. Additional fees for travel or copies of certificates are not included.

I will find vital records of your ancestors, transcribe and translate them. For example, if you are looking for Friedrich Müller and his wife Anna Schmidt - considered one branch - and you already know their origin and the century they lived in, I would focus on finding:

  • -Marriage certificate of Friedrich Müller and Anna Schmidt
  • -Birth certificates of their children
  • -Death certificates of Friedrich Müller and Anna Schmidt
  • -Birth certificates of Friedrich Müller and Anna Schmidt

We have associates in Germany and can travel to any archive in the country. Not every archive has digitised its records yet, so physical visits are sometimes necessary - for instance in Würzburg.
